We at the Herlihy Insurance Group would like to keep you updated with the changes that are happening in our state. In September 2007 the Massachusetts Insurance Commissioner, Nonnie Burnes, recommended and approved many changes to your car insurance options. As a result of these changes, in April 2008 Massachusetts drivers will have the benefit of “managed competition”.

In short this proposed “managed competition” implementation will allow insurance companies in Massachusetts to file their own rates and coverage variations. In previous years the Division of Insurance regulated your rates and coverage options.

What will this mean to you?
This means that as of April 2008, you will have additional pricing and coverage options when reviewing your car insurance. We anticipate that good drivers (drivers who have no accidents or moving violations) will pay less for their car insurance.

What will the Herlihy insurance Group be doing for you in this new “managed competition” marketplace?
At this time we have added additional companies so that you will have more pricing and coverage options. Our agency is excited and eager to present you with the most competitive insurance program for your car and home insurance.
If we write your car insurance now, you will be all set with options. If we do not currently provide you or your family members with car insurance, now is the time to check us out!

Team Herlihy is in the planning stages of our second annual “Girls Night Out” dinner that we organize for the Boys and Girls Club of Worcester. In March we will be hosting a dinner for approximately 50 young ladies. This year our theme will be nutrition, exercise and wellness. We at the Herlihy Insurance Group appreciate your business over the years and wanted to take a moment to share our office location update with you.

As we were conducting our Worcester office relocation options during the past few years, one of our primary concerns was our Wachusett area clients. As a result of this concern our Worcester office is now located closer you. Our new Pullman Street location is just one mile from the Holden town line right by Price Chopper on West Mountain Street.

Because of this new Pullman Street location effective Monday October 29 we will be merging our Holden operations into our Worcester and Rutland offices. The merging of offices will provide you with the benefit of more client servicing power at each location as well as upgraded office facilities and parking for our clients and staff.

Our Holden staff , Lisa Lange and Nancy Iaconi, will be relocating to our Rutland and Worcester offices respectfully. Our technology capabilites enable us to view all account information from any of our locations so that you may contact any of our Rutland , Worcester, or Sutton offices for assistance.

The Herlihy Group intends to remain a very active member in the Holden and Wachusett area as we continue on in our support and participation in local events such as youth sports, Holden Chamber of Commerce , Holden Together, and our involvement with Wachusett High School.

On September 7, 2007 we relocated to our new Worcester location at 51 Pullman Street.

We are all extremely excited about the new office! The design and layout makes for a more efficient operation and a vastly improved working environment for our employees. For the first time that I ever remember our agency actually has extra space available for future expansion! You as our client will now enjoy not only easy office access (right off of Route 190) and convenient parking, but also a new state of the art phone system that will allow us to communicate more efficiently with you! I sincerely hope that you enjoy these added benefits of our new location.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank our General Contractor, Currie Building Systems, and architect, Gregory J. O’Connor & Associates for the outstanding job they did from start to finish. These companies along with all of the subcontractors who worked on this project enabled us to come in on time and under budget. A big thank you is also due to all of our employees who provided continuous input during the design phases of our project. It has been an immensely satisfying experience to work with everyone involved and to have such a fantastic end result.
